Groundworks or earthworks are often a requirement whatever the project size. From simple site leveling to earth bund creation, Lakeland Construction can complete all aspects of small to medium sized jobs, having in-house plant and equipment for the work. As a ‘licensed waste carrier’, we can handle off site disposal should it be required.

Drainage

Drainage in its many parts, form key elements in any building project however small. From new septic tank and sewage pipework to land drainage problems, Lakeland Construction can accommodate any situation or solutions in difficult circumstances.

Foundations

All types of structural foundations can be undertaken including mass or reinforced concrete. Flexible foundations can also be constructed. These often consist of a compacted granular material with some form of capping layer.

Retaining Walls/Sea Defenses

Sea defence works can be complex as the tidal changes have a bearing on the works as well as the site conditions. All aspects of tidal defence work can be carried out including gabion baskets, timber groynes, etc.
